Strauß's Rosenkavalier: Romance! Intrigue! Mistaken Identity! And both leads are played by women which is pretty awesome.

Weber's Der Freischuetz: Dude makes a deal with the devil for seven magic bullets, only the last one ends up hitting the woman he loves.

Other Strauß's Die Fledermaus: Oh my god, I love this one so much. It is just so funny and ridiculous, while being really catchy. It's basically about this half-baked revenge-scheme that plays out at a party hosted by a Russian prince. Everyone does embarrassing shit and blames the champagne in the morning.
