More here! )

Fun stuff!  We have an exploring the arctic type of scenario as well as a tentacle rape monster type of scenario.
1. For those that haven't done this kind of printing before, it's one of the easier ones because you don't need plates or presses.  You just ink a flat surface, put paper, stencils, etc. on top and apply pressure to make the ink stick to the paper.  For instance, you can draw on the back of the paper and the ink will print wherever you apply pressure with the pencil.  You get very textural sort of one-off pieces out of this process: ergo, monoprinting.

2. Virginia, what is going on with you?  Why don't you be more like Maryland, huh?

3. I made awesome goulash today :D

My very first screenprint!  It came at a great price, however:  my adored 80's-trousers are now decidedly blue-ish.  In fact, that day I managed to ruin essentially every article of clothing I was wearing.  I am sort of messy when it comes to making things, no doubt about it, but this was a personal best.
I got some lovely christmas presents, including three (THREE!) new colors of Visconti ink.  That stuff is like the Ferrari of inks.  I am very impatient to try them!  I also got a lovely James Jean book (he's amazing) and a dvd of the opera Il Sant'Alessio which is really gorgeously staged, as well as being an all-male cast which is sort of interesting.  First dude Virgin Mary I've ever seen.
Furthermore, there was an A Very Supernatural Christmas rewatch that was very heartwarming indeed.  I forgot how young those guys looked then.

You know, the one with the opening that sounds like every dramatic film soundtrack EVER.
